Harm Reduction Services
Cleary's Pharmacy provides HSE harm reduction services to those in need in Galway city, 7 days a week. Call in and talk to a Pharmacist about our harm reduction services, which include 3 packs, 10 packs, foil and steroid packs. Harm reduction services are all free of charge, through the HSE.

Steroid packs
Steroid packs include sterile injecting equipment, alcohol swabs and a sharps bin to allow users access to clean, sterile equipment, and to provide safe means of disposal of used equipment. Packs are free of charge, and sharps bins can be returned to the pharmacy free of charge for safe disposal. This service is confidential. Pharmacy staff will direct you to our Private Consultation room. The Pharmacist will ask for your initials and year of birth only, for HSE data collection purposes only.

Needle exchange services
Needle exchange packs provide clean, sterile equipment for service users, and a sharps bin to allow for the safe disposal of used equipment. This is a free service provided by the HSE. Sharps bins can be returned to the pharmacy free of charge. This service is confidential. Pharmacy staff will direct you to our Private Consultation room.
